Does anyone know when the 37 days to cancel to get a full refund starts from? Is it from the day you get approved or the day you activate the card
i believe its from when it posts, but not positive

When do they charge the AF (first anniversary not first AF)? When I first got the card, I had CitiGold and they refunded they $450 AF and charged $350. Will I be charged a year after I was approved, at the end of the statement a year after I was approved, first of the month after I was approved, a year from when I was charged the $350 AF, or the first of the month a year after I was charged the lower AF?

This is my first Citi card and I'm not familiar with their billing. I got the first of the month thing from Chase (I think).

Any chance of getting matched on Prestige to 50k?

Why does my new prestige card look and feel like it was made out of a cardboard cut out in someones basement, every other citi card of mine is stronger and looks better

and a sticker with the number, cmon citi,

destroying the benefits with the card it seems...

Is there a pattern to when the credit posts nowadays? In the times I've used the benefit(last time in March), the credit posted anywhere from 10 days to 4 weeks after checkout. I haven't noticed a clear correlation with statement date. My AF will post at the end of January 2017 (26th?) and I have a stay in BKK February 6-11. Citi gives either 30 or 37 days (I've heard conflicting info) to cancel or downgrade and get AF refunded. That would mean the credit would have to post by February 25 or March 4 for me to safely cancel my card. Wishful thinking?

Citi Prestige prorates the annual fee when you close, even well into the year. Closed just now over the phone, and was told would be getting back $87.50 for 3 months of early termination credit ($27.16 / month).

Applied in NOV 2015. Got SC in Dec 2015 & Jan 2016.  I guess there is nothing more to take advantage of cos  the fee is coming up soon. Will be canceling unless you guys have any tricks or ideas? BTW, The Prestige is the only transferable TY points earning card I have. Wife had Premier but closed  and she has some TY points and she has no Prestige card.

So Combine our TY points and transfer to my airline or hotel account or cash out or whatever it is and the close it?

If this is the case, then that's huge. My wife was a CG member before downgrading to basic banking, but her AF still posted as $350 in August. That makes the monthly fee to be $29.17. In this case, she might as well pay for 4-5 months (<$150) to get another $250 in credit. Is this confirmed to be the case? If so, is it just the Prestige or all Citi cards?

Is this a change in Citi policy? According to the posts earlier in the thread, the AF isnt prorated after 37 days. Were you closing during your first year? Is it possible that they prorate within the first year but not after a second AF?

Didn't ask them why they are giving a refund, but yes it was within the first year.

A friend of mine got a citi prestige card that he got approved September 1, `16  and his card did not have the admiral club symbol that used to be on this card when he called customer service the rep assured that he does have access to the admirals club even if it isn't on his card. does any one here have any info on this?
