If i DG the Prestige and get a different card will I loose my TYP within about 90 days, can anyone confirm this? If yes, Then does lowering the Creditline help?

Correction your statement. if you cancel, yes you lose TYpoints in 90 days. if you downgrade within the TY card family, points stay intact.

if you downgrade to TY premier, you keep the ability to transfer to other airlines. but TY preferred, then you won't be able to transfer.

DoC reporting that rumors of new citi prestige benefits coming july 17. Can anyone confirm this rumor or have more details to share?

just an update based on the discussions from DoC (and my commentary):

Card will be metal, featuring mastercard logo (metal is a downgrade. ID/keycards/Transit passes don't scan properly, and heavy. and how is a new logo a benefit)
ShopRunner membership (amex cards, even free ones, got that covered. so its redundant)
Citi ThankYou points worth 1˘ towards cash/gift card redemption (long overdue, chase UR had since the beginning of time)
Citi ThankYou points can be used towards the 4th night free benefit (meh...not particularly interesting)

so in summary, losing AA lounge and golf, and gaining nothing much.

New benefits are worthless but I think the Prestige is still decent to have if you have the $350 fee because it has the best travel delay benefits.

Yes, if you end up using the 4th night free one or 2 times, you'll get back much more than the net $100 annual fee. but its still disappointing that they are taking out 2 huge benefits and replacing them with no meaningful benefits. given the intro of CSR, amex platinum somewhat stepping up, and intro of other premium cards (altitude, etc), you thin citi prestige would actually try to make the card better.

$200 after 4k spending each month for 3 months is pretty standard.

(I had to file a CFPB complaint to get it.)

wow, I hope I don't need to. How did you justify it? Isn't a "bonus" optional for the giver?

This is what they're happy to announce?

Am I happy they made 4th nite free bookable online and as an immediate discount? Sure. (Although I hope it doesn't mess with the pay two get four free nights when stacked with other promos.)

Is this a game changer the way that 100K 3x CSR was? Or the way that 50% MR rebate? Or 5x on airlines?

Nope. I'd take 5x MR on flights and/or 3x UR on travel/dining over...

metal card and cash out option...

And... as I was worried about, booking online would take away ability to use corp promos, discount codes, loyalty incentives... which means you're back to booking with concierge  ::)

Even bigger whiff.
