Some really nice fares available for anyone needing to travel to New York from Tel Aviv January and February time on Alitalia.
Some of the flights are code shares with Delta and Alitalia's regional subsidiary.

Nice short stop on the outbound but the catch is that you need to fly 2 stops on the inbound. However, if you have time, a day in Milan is not too bad.

my dad is flying out on this deal on a motzi shabbos. he wants to buy economy comfort upgrade but they tell him he cant buy it until 19 hours before the flight, which is right on shabbos.
@dan : any tricks up your sleeve to buy the upgraded seats before then?
