@ satmar lady:
Trroogen shtrrimpf mit seamz iz jezt in fashion ba de goyim.
Efsherr is tzaat tsi trroogen geherrige shtrrrimpf?
That will proof whether it's worn just because it's your tradition or to actually look out of date.
I was partly joking before (in this post), but in as much as the husband agree to the shaving part, no that done rabonim spoke harshly against it (no links at hand), as they said that the "turning oneself ugly", is a big problem, as that could disgust the husband, yes, even if he stands behind this shitta.
Women have to look good to their husband so that all stays in check.
It's worn to look out of date? Never heard. Real reason: to prove beyond any doubt that it isn't your bare skin.
All I can tell you is that my husband is very content with my looks (mild choice of words m'shim tznius). All they see is your head-covering, never the shaved head. If it does become an issue, the woman should definitely be mevater on a chumra to save her marriage. But she shouldn't send her kids to a school where she'll have to be dishonest about it.
Re: your previous post, can you explain why none of the graduates in my school - 2 classes per grade - is mechalel shabbos, at least in public? Yes, there are rebels, but they do keep the basics. Of course there are the infamous Satmar OTD's, but the fact that our Satmar school is clean shows something. And where do you get your numbers from, BTW? Did you take into account our huge population, and the fact that a story about leaving the "ultra of the ultra" sells very well, thus tempting them to tell it?
