Not everyone lets their husband see it...
@yehudaI don't advocate forcing. The story in the forward is indeed crazy.I'm just trying to give you an idea how others see this issue with a different perspective.
Some women see no point in keeping their hair if it can't be uncovered anyway.
This requires the kind of leap of faith that I find myself incapable of making right now.
Now this one is beyond me.
ועשית ככל אשר יורוך...
1. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's a chok.2. To someone non-religious, following a command from hashem looks just as cult-like as chassidim following a rebbe does to you.
Same here but that's what I heard from R' Cheikin (and not as a story rather a suggestion...)
And do you actually wear wool tzitzes...............
Look at the first 2 words of my post...
Being put in a kind of cherem for not shaving is a blackmail that qualifies as forcing from my perspective.
Can someone please clarify how on earth hair can be more chomur than the rest of the body? Please ask a rabbi who advocates this and get back to me. TIA
I don't think anyone said its more chomur. But honestly I have no answer on that one. I never thought how contradicting it actually is.
That I have a hard time believing. They might see no point if they are real chasidim, but that there's no point because only your husband can see it?
The Chumrah of hair is according to Kabballah (which is probably the reason why it's more strict in Chassidishe chicks).
@meshugener Halachah aside, I find it very very hard to believe that a girl has no issue with her hair being cut off. Especially after 17+ years of washing it, ironing it, caring for it, and taking pride in it.
see no point in keeping their hair if it can't be uncovered anyway.
So you never see her actual head 24/7?
