You can fly on ElAl using either matmid points or AA (90K =coach 135k= Biz) Availability should be the same, best to just call up AA.Delta you can see online at Delta.com although availability at the lowest level -80K coach- is almost non existant, which means you would have to use more points.
so you are saying if AA is out of both its free seats and rev seats on an ELAL flight but ElAl still has Award space for itself , AA can get ahold of those seats?
Usually partners will only have available to them what the actual airline has avail at the lowest level so if Delta only has avail on the med or hi level I assume their partners would not have access to those seats at all. But I could be wrong
nope,Just that so far we have discussed this in multiple threads and it seems AA may have access to the same award availability as ElAl themselves. This could be wrong but unless I missed a post about this, no one had proof otherwise.
A couple of yrs ago AA told me they had only their allotment to work with, true that was when they 1st partnered up and why I was asking
From what I've seen El Al's "allotment" of award seats=AA's "allotment" of El Al award seats.

do you know how many matmid points would be needed?
Its 1400+ fees in Coach. Here is their chart;http://www.elal.co.il/ELAL/English/HidePages/En_FFt261108
Man does that chart look bad in FF! Did they hire a 1st grader to create it?
I'm dealing with points from continental and aa, anybody know how to get them into other airlines?
You cant. Airline miles cannot be transferred into other airlines. You have to redeem them on that airline or their partners.
what about points.com? What about transferring through other points programs?
There are no transfer options that are worthwhile.
What is worthwhile? And what is not?
