Make Phone Calls From Gmail!

Strangest thing. I thought it was firefox at first. It works in my wife's account, but not in mine...i tried hers in FF and IE. Mine wont work in either...anyone else having trouble?

I'm assuming you mean there's no option for it?  Because we have a report that it does work from Israel.
When you signed up for Gmail did you choose Canada or US?

After reading around about it, it seems gmail has not released it to every gmail account yet. All of gmail accounts (except my main one, of course) has it already.

I was never able to get it to work on any accounts on any browser here in Israel. One solution may be hotspot shield.

Same thing as David, my main account (has google voice) does not have it but one of my secondary accts has.

My secondary account and wife's account work in all browsers. Mine does not work in any browser.

used my free 10cents to call israel... worked beautifully

i used to use gvoice to make free calls to canada; but now with this new option i havent dialed a number from my phone during the daytime in 2 days.

"International numbers are not supported as forwarding phones"

Highly doudt it makes a difference just picks up where the ip address is.

although the option to fwd your google voice calls to gmail chat DOES show up it the google voice settings. i  tried it and my gmail inbox started ringing.  BUT for some reason even though i turned call screening off,  when i click answer the recording says "to accept press 1, to  send to voicemail  press 2" and i have no way of answering because there's no keypad to select an option. i guess i'll have to stick with the really old fashioned 1900's way of communicating. the telephone.

How do you do that?

You have an option in Google Talk to forward to Google Talk. Enable that option, click call, type the number you wish to call, and use phone "Google Talk". It will show up as a voice call in Gtalk. Click "answer"
