Yup, that's why my number is rubbed out. I only swipe the card, I always laugh when I see them trying to peek at the number, and it's not there!

I have been told by a reliable source, that if you use the same address they will merge all accounts into one. That would make this entire operation a waste of time, unless you use different addresses. Alas, I did not.

My theory is that it's the owner of the station. I have this felling that they can see your number on the backend somehow. When I filed a compliant with corporate the local owner called me back and he knew way to much..... He said just call stop and shop they will give you your points back.... I caught him lying first he said he had two stations then when I gave him the address of the two stations my card was used at he said he only has one station.

That's pretty unnerving. I have never had points taken from me there, BH.

I open two accounts and they were merged, I don't know what the trigger was.

It was annoying but the good part was when they reinstated my points I had another 30 days to use them and that was after they extended them a few times already.

I had once where my card was swiped for 2200 points twice in a row. I think after the guy swiped for my gas, he went and swiped at a different pump for his own gas or something.

IIRC the number was rubbed off.

Constant viligance is key. I always ask for my card back right away.

If your getting a new card in the store each time you can just scribble any address & name down.

I know this now, before I didn't so I just left my address for most of them..

Were they merged already? You probably have a few days till its in the system to use one or two cards,being as their still in the paper age.

Also I know its not what you wanted but I assume all your points will transfer to the original account when they do get merged so all you lost is the time.

It's not just time. I purposely have each card with 1900 points since I'm paying $1.97 a gallon. By merging the points it will start deducting 2200 points for each fill up forcing me to get premium for $2.50.... Plus it will end up costing more points than necessary per fill up.
