I wonder how long before airlines will insure themselves for losses due to pricing mistake that cannot be cancelled

I take it back, even at 100000 tickets at $400 loss a ticket it's only a $40 million dollar loss. While still a huge deal they seem big enough to handle that

You're overestimating the number of tickets. Most people aren't savvy enough to book. It wasn't simple.

Are you crazy. Again, this wasn't a Dan's Deals deal. This was posted on every major travel blog. There are tons of people out there who do mileage runs. MXP for $120? Think how many just booked that. This was valid to dubai, to everywhere in Europe, not to the Dan's Deals Israel crowd
My 100k number was meant to be an exaggeration-just showing that even at that number it wouldn't put them under. But if you think this is not in the tens of thousands I think you are mistaken

Im well aware of that and Im not talking about DD. Im roughly guestimating TFD and FT...I dont think it was anywhere remotely near 100k.
