A travel agent bought me a ticket a month ago on united,
and when I entered the confirmation number on UA.com it told me the confirmation code will change because its a continental confirmation.

I would guess that in that case WF never pays for the ticket, so UA can cancel for lack of payment, but not sure.

Though on 2nd thought, WF probably only pays for tickets at the end of the month, end of week at the earliest. So it's entirely possible that they just wont pay up, I mean why would they. Being that they are being issued on 701 stock, I'm not sure that UA will be responsible to honor if they don't get paid at all. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. This is going to set a precedent.

That being said, I was planning on booking tickets for my fam on Friday, and for no real reason pushed it off to motze shabbos. So now I have a DL reservation expiring tonight, and I have to figure out whether or not to issue that ticket

This reservation was ticketed and confirmed on Sun., Nov. 24, 2013 at 2:11 a.m. Central Time.

Jeez, despite being the OP, the only tik I booked for my m-i-l still hasn't ticketed.
I'm willing to accept gifts purchased in duty free for those coming to Israel. I'll even pick it up from you

For anyone that is trying to cancel it seems you can only cancel once the ticket is issued. Before that I do not see a link to cancel and when I click the link it just goes to their homepage. But on the eticket email there is a link to cancel.

Anyone have any other luck?

looks like all reservations done last night Israeli time have been ticketed by now

You can cancel the reservation on UA.com, and it will likely not ticket. But on the small chance that it tickets w/o a reservation (yes this is possible), its going to be a pain to get refunded. I guess there is always amex
