I really think there is almost no issue with calling United. It's not their ticket stock. They are not allowed to touch it. And as long as you don't say "Check out the price I got" (which if ticketed in NOK, means nothing to them anyway) the odds of them noticing are thin as is

Don't think the meals can be chosen online when the ticket is not issued from UA...think it will eventually need a call. Seats on the other hand can be chosen now.

It says on united.com that my reservation is confirmed and ticketed and I have a pending charge on my cc, but doesn't say anywhere what my ticket number is and didn't get any email about being ticketed with a ticket number.
