Another "stealth" UA M+ change

Until this week, was consistently able to book UA mileage flights in our UA account and each flyer was able to choose EconomyPlus seats at no charge since the account owner is Platinum. Tried booking today and they've finally changed that, only the account holder gets the Platinum benefits, everyone else in the family/company has to pay for EconomyPlus. UA has slowly but surely been closing many loopholes that provided additional benefits for M+ members.

Even if traveling together with plat member?
If not, it's a benefit that was probably never meant to exist. Can't complain about losing a benefit that was never really intended and never made any sense

If I'm a Plat and paying for my wife's ticket, it's nice for her to be able to take advantage of my status. It's been that way for years, just bemoaning it's loss.

Had the same today with a platinum account, where the status holder wasn't traveling himself.
