renting hertz 24/7 without copy of license from ewr

I currently dont have a hard copy of my license. Its coming in the mail in a week. So I was thinking of renting hertz on demand since you just use the fob and take the car. But in EWR it is in the hertz parking lot. Will I need to present a hard copy of my license to get out? Or they dont ask for license copy for hertz on demand...or better yet. Will normal hertz accept a photocopy of my license to rent?

What happened to your license? Are you a gold member? Have you rented from hertz before?

I believe there are other locations very close to EWR, so that might be a workaround.

I am a gold member but as you leave ewr they look at yr license

Not if you're licensed, and you just dont have it. I.e. it was lost or stolen and you're waiting for a new one.

Also make sure it won't cause you an issue if you need to make an insurance claim.

i have a license from another country . its coming in another 2 weeks. i have a screenshot confirmation for the order of my replacement and i carry my passport when driving. thatll be sufficient for any cop, as they dont really know what to do with foreign license anyway...so more foreign documentation will make them lay off...tested and proven

Not IME. When I got pulled over for a break light and handed the cop my foreign licence, he gave me a second ticket for being unlicensed.
(I am now predicting Dans reply abt NYC vs Cle.)

IME NYPD always gives you a ticket , in court you could always fight it.

Well I got pulled over from a cop..showed them a screenshot from Australia that confirms I've ordered a new one. And they let me go. This was in FL
