Hi everyone, I'm new here.

Planning cross country trip end of summer and was wondering about corporate codes.
1) Is this legit, or just meant for employees etc?
2) Do they expire?
3) Where can I get up to date codes?
4) How would I know if they still work?
5) Is it best to get separate insurance, just in case?

TIA
1) Mixed bag here. Plenty of them are fine to use.
2) Not a question of expiration. It's a discount negotiated from that corporation with the car rental company
3) Take a look at the wiki on page on of this thread
4) You will need to try them out when checking the rates online
5) Most will not be giving any insurance. Your credit card will normally cover you for CDW as a primary [for a select few] or secondary (in regards to your personal auto insurance you may already have) source of coverage. Liability coverage they don't provide and you may want to opt in for that.

Other boards report being getting ID'd when trying to use it. Any tips for pulling off the Honeywell code without any issues?

Using it in a place where it's not abused

Are all airports likely to be suspicious, or am I likely to be okay if dealing with a relatively small one? Are the odds better or worse if I go to an non-airport location? And if I've never used the code before, am I better off trying to create a profile with it to skip to Emerald Aisle, or will the new profile be more likely to get flagged, and I should just nonchalantly go to the counter?
