BEWARE BLACK FRIDAY PHONE SCAM!!

We have been getting calls all afternoon that claim to be from Lenovo asking to verify purchases we made and claiming that if we do not give out the information by phone our order will be cancelled.

They would not tell me what I purchased and when but rather asked me for all the info.

I prefer not to give out the info and lose a deal rather than chance a scam and get burned.

I realize this is probably a scam - what bothers me is that my personal information somehow leaks out to a third party.

And you know it wasn't lenovo?

Just ask for a call back number and google the number before you call. That's always the easiest way to verify a caller IMO.

I was suggesting it could have been a phisher who saw Mike (who might have posted somewhere he) bought the item and targeted him to get his personal info.

We called the number back and it didn't exist. Checked on phone scam lists and found number. Could have been phisher but it was too fast IMHO - had to be prob w/Lenovo security...
