Because I'm sure there are people who see this amex offer and are not interested in Amazon CG, nor dealing with selling them, so that's why I'm offering easy money for a ready buyer at less money.

I don't think you need a confirmation email. You can easily check if you've gotten this deal by signing into Amex online and scroll down to the bottom and click "My offers." There you will see that you've been targeted and/or signed up. And if you don't see it, you can chat with Amex and ask them to manually put the offer into your account. But from what I've seen (with my cards) that all accounts have gotten the offers. Just 'grab' it in My Offers.

I already transferred the credit into my Amazon Account.  Anyone know if I can repurchase gift cards with my Amazon giftcard balance? The balance is not currently in my account (already used it on purchases) so I can't check…I bought several Bose Headphones intending on selling them…not realizing that I could sell the gift cards straight up…kicking myself now...

i synced a card 2 days ago and tweeted #amexamazon. tonight i unsynced that card and synced a different card to the same twitter account and was able to tweet #amexamazon agaon. i tired a 3rd card but it didn't let. it said i tweeted that already. maybe it is something that can be done daily?

It's still worth it for things you wouldn't need insurance for eg books or household items

So buy the GCs now, save them to your account, use your Freedom card for the 5ppd for those items this month when the bonus won't be 5ppd on Freedom and next month use your GC balance for all those items that don't need the protection of Amex.

You make claims over 50% of the time? You're giving up $75 for an extra $150 in coverage. Though granted if you have diapers orders to use iron might as well

Agreed on large items where you need extra warranty etc, but I have yet to use return protection on amazon, they are quite good with returns if you ask nicely and play it safe. I've returned after 11 months once.

Using one amex would've been 205
I gained 55 bucks, and if I really feel like I need the extra warranty I can but a square trade plan for 30 and still come out ahead and have much more extensive coverage.

I don't agree with your math though.
At the normal rate of buying via GC's with 5-10% off, I'd rarely ever give up the Amex warranty. At 33.3%, things start to look different.

Anyone cashing in now is losing out on on the 5ppd they could have made on Freedom through 12/31/13 or the added protections from Amex, while in 2014 they could be buying diapers, wipes, toilet paper, or anything else that won't benefit from the protection with 33% off until their GC balance runs out.

I keep seeing people buying electronics under $10k and other purchases under $300 and even under $100 and I'm wondering how many ways I can explain this

For those that do get what I'm saying, you can try changing your payment method and the GC amount will be added to your GC balance on your Amazon account.
