Maybe they will finally get a profitable business plan? I guess he figures he should leave before the open sky's agreement forces him too......

Did you see what he said about Turkish airlines ruining Elals business? The frum oilem flies Turkish because it's cheap. But Turkey is an anti Semitic country and doesn't allow elal to land there. I think it's a disgrace that so many on ddf fly on Turkish, I suggest we stop patronizing them until they allow Israeli airlines to land in turkey

Uh....you do know that the "oilem" you refer to doesn't fly IST-TLV because they want to, right? If LY competed on the nonstop, then the "oilem" would gladly fly nonstop NY-TLV, and even pay a bit more, not $400 or more, but a bit.

How can you demand that people pay twice as much for tickets to fly Elal?? Not everyone can afford to plunk down the extra $700 per ticket, not to mention the standard of service.

True or false, there's no kuntz to boycott something that is more expensive, by definition, you boycott the cheaper one and pay more for X reason.

I didn't say fly elal, I said don't fly Turkish. There are many other airlines out there that are in between.

And ya if Turkish was more expensive don't think it would be much of a boycott.

So people will have to spend a little more money to stand up for what they believe in, is that terrible ?!

Jews gave up a lot more then just a few dollars in the past. When did we get so soft and cheap?! How about principles do they not stand for anything?!

I blame the kollel system (which I was a part of for a number of years) but thäts just me.

Well its a disgrace that LY charges the sky just because they are Israel...
If Turkey doesn't allow LY to land there, Israel wouldn't allow TK to land in TLV...

TK, you get new planes, free WiFi, good service, 2 bags, great fares, its a disgrace not to fly with them

I never understood his rational, that if elal can fly to Turkey-they would be profitable. I agree that it's unfair that elal can't fly to Turkey, but I would bet that 90% of the people flying to/from Turkey, is because of the price - not to visit or spend time in Turkey. If elal flew to Turkey they might take a little bit of the market share of Turkish tourism but will not be making even a dent into the amount of people flying in/out through turkey daily.

So every other country that elal flies to has no problems, but Turkey does. Do you think this is because of of their love for us?!

Now if you want to make the anti semite/ anti israel is different argument, go right ahead. I for one don't see it as such. They don't like israel because to them that is what symbolizes jews.
