I should make a solid CEO, I promise to never devalue Matmid
maybe value Matmid instead. I could care less if it's devalued. Would never accumulate them anyhow.

???
Who made that one up. It's exactly that kind of ignorant Israeli attitude that is driving Elal to the ground
are you joking? do you dispute the fact that elal has the best security?

I dispute that it's a fact. Do you have anything to back that claim up? Theyre not the only airline that racially profiles

come on, do you know of any other airline that has a target on its back the way elal does? do you really think elal can rely on the local turkish security?

Chaikel, I agree with moish on that.
You can't trust a Muslim with the security of an Israeli airline.

I thought Open Skies was tighter than any security I've seen in the US. In truth, unless there is some published reliable review, I don't think any of us are security experts to make that call. But the bottom line is this is a typical case of 2 parties each with their own (if I may add - reasonable) demands, and neither one willing to capitulate to the other. There is no way that you can blame  one over the other.

Of course, they do it even in the US and Germany, but it takes one Muslim security officer to listen to a Alawaki podcast and the next day we have a shoe bomber on the plane.

Actually I will need some more
1,2,3 all quote the same magazine which LY was picked safest by readers ::)
I didn't notice any where on 5 that it said Elal security was the best, but I only skimmed.
6 is unsubstantiated other that "widely agreed on". With that logic I can eat in Decks.
7 see 5 plus it's a former LY employee ::)

admittedly 4 was the only one I didn't go through, as I had a hard time skimming. If you say that is the one with poof, I'll go back and read it

I'd like to add that I agree LY is likely the best, but a) that wasn't my point, and b) it's not "fact"

I don't know about security but having been in the ElAl operations and maintenance centers I get a bit nervous flying them.

Jesus, no one said its a "fact". How would we prove this fact exactly. But it is widely believed by the Israeli govt and other reasonable people that if elal left it's security to anyone else there would be disasters. There fore elal supplements the airports security with its own security. Now basically all the counties that don't want to drive Israel into the Sea, understand and allow this. Turkey is an exception - turkey also happens to be a Muslim country. For the last decade or so turkey has expressed it's disdain and Hatred for Israel.

The New York Times writes an article that maybe sheds a negative light on Israel and we boycott like Thier the Taliban. We won't be cuaght driving or even sitting In German car that today are all owned by public international companies, and we will drive a crysler without a problem.

Yet when it comes to flying a Turkish airline that cleary hates us, we will do it no problem. That's all I have to say. You do what you want. I would rather spend a few dollars and fly an American or European airline.

I don't see what the difference of El Al doing it's own security. The other airlines flying into Israel don't use El Al's security, so if god forbid there was an attack, the attacker could use the airlines with the weaker security to do so.

I find it funny but have you ever tried to enter turkey on an american passport or an israeli passport.
American requires a visa + $20
Israeli doesn't... odd for a country that hates israel.

I assume they are worried about the ELAL flight being blown up. As has been attempted before

Why should this force Turkey to go against their protocols and allow a foreign security force into their airport? Do you believe Israel would allow an armed Turkish security team into Ben Gurion?

Clearly you've never flown TK. Everyone Frum Jew I've spoken to (including my own personal experience) said they were treated far better than they were on LY. I have many clients who refuse to fly LY, and prefer TK. What gives you any indication that TK has anything against "us"
