Amex purchase warranty

If you purchase anything with an Amex credit card they double the warranty which comes with the product. Does the same apply for anything purchased with an Amex giftcard???

No, it's only a benefit on certain Amex cards AFAIK, definitely not giftcards.

nope.. and thats my excuse always for asking for a refund for the gift card.. not under purchase protection...

+1 only certain cards ex. SPG AMEX and AMEX premier rewards gold

I think the AMEX prepaid card (not PASS) has a few AMEX benefits,
although not sure if warranty is one of them

No spend miles/points earned from loading these, so not worth much IMHO.

thats not entirely accurate. on a 2 year warranty you get 1 extra year
