Although I'm sure bread can be made in the plastic bowl challah made from 5-6 lbs. of flour definitely needs the stainless steel

my wife claims that the plastic bowl works just fine for her and she makes about 5-7 batches a week.  She also claims that the plastic one is much easier to clean than the metal one and hence a real time saver.
