It says in stock.

But if I do this, then I'll have to return the one I got as a present from Bed bath etc. And I dunno what I'd buy from them instead.

But on the other hand, I can return it, and get 400 dollars of bed bath etc credit (over and above the 100 I'm anyway getting on the return/rebuy, and then have paid 200 for that privilege. But then what'll I do with the 400 of bed bath etc?

Although I'm sure bread can be made in the plastic bowl challah made from 5-6 lbs. of flour definitely needs the stainless steel

All reports are the regular bowl works just fine.

I will hurt the person who tells my wife that we need a metal bowl. I will hit them repeatedly with said metal bowl.

Don't worry, that's what her friends are for (to tell her she needs the metal, not for you to hit with a metal bowl ;D).

You can still buy it from BBB for $400 - 20%, which is a pretty good deal, and you can always return it to BBB if the plastic bowl breaks!

my wife claims that the plastic bowl works just fine for her and she makes about 5-7 batches a week.  She also claims that the plastic one is much easier to clean than the metal one and hence a real time saver.

That's a lot of challah. You should try eating kugel also--it's pretty good.
