does anybody know how to get into the lounge in germany for free?? like signing up to something before i get there.

Into "the" lounge?

In Fra they will usually swipe your card, so even a valid card must have a functioning magnetic strip.

If you are very desperate, you get someone's Amex Plat (usa one), and you photoshop a A4 sized webcheckin boarding pass, which matches the name on the card.

You go with this to the 'common' lounge, where priority pass is accepted.

(If a bar code on it, make sure its creased enough so that it won't be readable, even if it were a real one)

 or simply try to find another  Yid that has access and will take you in as their guest (if allowed) talk it up on the flight over there, better chance if you can get someone in Biz to do it , most likely those in Coach will be in your shoes as well, unless they are *G Elites

I think 10 hours gives u enough time to look at frankfurt. If not, then its worth to spend some cash to get into a lounge if its so long! Steve might come up with another idea ;-)

 I already mentioned "pulling a craz" which is what you are referring to.

But no way if its for a couple and a kid

 actually not much to do in FRA better to take the train from FRA in the opposite direction and spend the time in Mainz

 Otherwise Id say use some SPG pts and get a room at the Sheraton at FRA

 this wont help AFAIK there are No PC Lounges at FRA and the PC pass is good Only for getting into a PC Lounge and isnt good for any Affliate Lounges such as a LH ,UA US etc club

You'll need to be in Business or First or be Star Alliance Gold to get lounge access.
