You can unload all of it on google wallet for the same 2.9%. Why bother getting anyone else involved? If you have not used google wallet yet to send money, your first 250 is fee free until 7/15/14.

I was hoping to perhaps get a better rate, plus it's easier for me to unload all in one transaction rather than each separately.

You can unload it all in one transaction on google wallet. Why would you not do it yourself? There is clearly something missing from this story that you are not sharing!

I don't get why people think staples is so much better.  Occasionally they have deals where one can get it below 3.5% ($7 fee for a $200 card), but generally not.  Even when they have it, one has to put in a decent amount of effort to get it.  i.e. unless you value the points at more than 1 cent a point (possible) you're only making 1.5%.  This guy is offering nearly double that with minimal effort.

you are all missing the point. forget about Staples and 5x for IP. he is asking you to liquidate GC's and pay you 2.9%. this is a great deal.
