I went to the closest Pathmark -  in Ramsey- and bought 4 x $500 Visa Gift Card.  Each card has a purchase fee of $5.95. Total Spent: $2023.80. I will get 3% cash back because I have the Amex Blue Cash card; 3% of $2023.80 is $60.71. The 4 Visa Gift Cards will be "cashed out" at Walmart, onto 2 Bluebird cards. I will use that $2000 to pay up my Credit card bill, so I really only spent $23.80, and I will get $60.71 back for that = profit of $36.91
 
For each $500 gift card, I got 3 x "$20 off $20 purchase" coupons, which left me with 12 of those coupons, i.e. $240 of free money at Pathmark. With a max of 1 of these coupons per order, I split my order into 12 orders. You must spend at least $20 before tax to use the coupon. I went through the store and got a bunch of stuff that I could use, some stuff that I needed, and a some stuff that are nice to have if you have extra money - which I did. Those 12 orders totalled $269.65 (I wasn't going to go crazy and make sure to spend exactly $20). $269.65-$240=$19.65 actually spent at Pathmark. Subtract $19.65 from the profit of $36.91 (which I'll make on the cash back from Amex), and I'm left with a profit of $17.26. I bought the nice lady who checked out all my stuff, a thank you card (part of the $269.95) and stuck in a $10 bill = $7.26 profit. Oh, and $240 worth of free groceries! I know, the math is really flawed, and either I made a profit of $36.91, or I got $269.95 worth of free groceries, but to be honest, I don't wan't to figure out what I'm trying to say, being that it's 2 am.

P.S. you can only use your Pathmark card 10 x per day, the cashier was kind enough to use her own for the last 2.

My only question now is, how do I cash out, don't I need a pin on the GC to cash out? How do I add a pin?

At A&P in Brick they maxed me at 2 cards. Also made a big deal about how only one coupon per purchase. Last night I bought 3 no problem and cashed out to coupons without a hitch. Not sure if that rep is a pain or the store starting getting more strict.

Seems like stores are getting more strict. My brother told me that at the Pathmark in Brooklyn they are only allowing one GC per person.

Went to path mark in brooklyn, cashier said cannot be purchased with cc due to fraud. I tried to show my DL but even manager wouldn't budge, he said it's store policy

Shall work. I used Pathmark card at Food Emporium along with $20 off coupon (Food Emporium one).

And I think I used A&P card for the next $20 off there. I didn't have Food Emporium card at that time yet.

I used FE coupon at FE, but used Pathmark loyalty card. (As I didn't have FE card at that time yet.)

I believe that loyalty cards can be used at any brand store (AP, Pathmark, FEmp, etc.)

Ones I used Pathmark loyalty card at A&P. (Without $20 coupons that time.)
It was accepted and the card # appeared on receipt.

Is this deal dead ? Has anyone tried it this evening I just went to food basics bought the gift cards but no coupons generated.
It might be my register at this new food basics I tried, she said her register us always strange with coupons.

Don't know what food basics is,  but next time (or even for this time) you can show them the promo in the weekly circular and they can manually write you up a $20 coupon raincheck.
