if you are female, (shifra?) let me ask, have you ever purchased something that has a female name because it had such a name? Jane? If anything you should be indignant that they feel they have to pander to you, that heaven forbid something with a male name may be less feminine. pathetic.
As a red blooded male, I can honestly say I have never even considered the name of the product as catering to my masculinity. I dont know what I would do.... I guess my childhood of Betty Crocker and Aunt Jemima has to be rethought.

that said, most booze panders heavy to men, so women perhaps get signals it just isnt for them and they should stick to cocktails, smirnoff ice and Moscato .
I think deep down name/image/branding of manliness definitely affects me (thats why im a cheap bourbon (jack/jim beam, on yom tov knob creek/wild turkey 101) drinking, it makes me feel more manly and overcomes my general girliness .

What else is this if not smart marketing? Nobody is changing any iconic names, look at the label, it's still being called "Johnnnie Walker Black Label" their only adding "The Jane Walker Edition" (which by definition says that it's a limited edition)
