Thanks will look.

What about Oban 14 / Glenfarclas 12 or the single malt?

Anyone try those and can share insight?

So the angel envy, is this worth buying even if I'm not a bourbon fan? Is it that good or will go up in value bc limited? Otherwise just need seeing why I should buy it.

I bought it because I heard it's good and won't be around for long. They way it was described to me is that it is a good starter bourbon to help you get into it, sort of like corona is for beer.

Fair enough. I might just call him to reserve me one then and save it for myself :P

I ended up getting 2 bottles:

The new Oban: Oban little bay which cost about $65.

Auchnagie, from the lost distillery. They mixed single malts to create the flavor of the original distillery that closed in 1911 and is supposed to be very smooth and good. They have 3 from the lost distillery: Auchnagie, gerston and Stratheden. I believe the stratheden is smokey and the other 2 smooth.

The cost of the Auchnagie was $60.

I'm not an expert, but had a bourbon called Michter's at a kiddush and thought it was really good.
Also been trying to find scotch called Singleton which was recommended here.

Looking to fill my house with some wines. I prefer red dry ones. No particular grape or region preferred (thats what ppl in the store would ask me and Id give them this face :  ??? ) Looking in the $15-$40 for anything that is great value and is recommended. Thanks!

This should probably be its own thread. I like:

Shiloh Secret Reserve (~$35)
Yatir Cabernet (~$40)
Psagot M-Series (~$40)
