Sure.I'm assuming there's an argument the other way, because most kosher stores sell these products, I just haven't heard it yet. All kashrus lists 'do not recommend' them.
https://oukosher.org/publications/bourbon-sheavar-hapesach/The Sazerac company brands, including buffalo trace, blantons, eagle rare, pappy and many more, owned by the Goldring family, don't sell their chometz and thats where problems arise. However the Heaven Hill brand(Parker's, evan williams, elijah craig), owned by the shapira family, sell their chometz and is kosher-see star-k list. All other major bourbon brands are owned by non-jews.
The article concludes they could certify. DId they certify?
In this case the Sazerac company is fully owned by jews so i believe they didn't certify it.
I remember reading somewhere that they certified some of it for the future
I believe that is for their Van Goh Vodka products which have an OU. Not sure about other products.
No it's for Buffalo trace - https://m.state-journal.com/2017/07/20/kosher-bourbon-buffalo-trace-jewish-owned-since-1992
Nice.
The make many types of Wiskey, rum, vodka tequila ect. Are they all not kosher?
I would assume anything that didn't have chametz in it would be treated the same as any other company but that's just my assumption, I could be wrong.
IINM it all has chometz
Unless they're reusing barrels, why would their rum and tequila have chametz in them?
