It would also be a benefit to the kashrus agencies to let go of this leniency.
This bothers me. The kashrus organizations should not be making decisions to not approve something because it can help them get more clients.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I was under the impression that we don't pasken like the Rashba here but the author indicates the custom is to follow the Rashbah. That's a very slippery slope.

Good day to bump this thread. It's National Bourbon Day today.
Pretty surprised to find out my company didn't give off!

AFAIK Whiskey doesn’t need supervision if it isn’t in wine casks and is unflavored.

Not listed on the CRC list as recommended or not recommended.

Grangestone Rum Finish - https://www.totalwine.com/spirits/deals/scotch/single-malt/grangestone-rum-finish/p/159824750?s=303&igrules=true

Reached out to the CRC and now these are approved, BH.

Now just need some reviews from people who have tried them.

just to clarify, I was responding to the question posed whether someone who wants to be a machmir would drink wine with just an ou. The fact is the chances are he wouldn't. Same goes for ou shechitah, I don't think anyone would argue with that. Why that is the case, is it a kashrus issue, is it a perception issue is a longer answer

I would think someone being described as kashrus savvy would tell you he would value reality over perception.

I'm any case, you can count me in as interested. Do you know of anyyhing in particular that would make the OUs supervision on wines sub par or are you stam saying "if ur frum don't eat ou".

But those same people with a certain perception will claim they’re perceiving reality.

I heard from a reliable source, which is not reliable for anyone else because no one here knows who i am, that the star k said ou is perfect for wines. (Not sure what kashrus level star k is, maybe OOT-machmir)
