My main concern is the level of supervision necessary not the kulos that may be used. As far as what kulos, find out what they are doing in regard to considering the products mevushal.
I'm no expert on kashrus, So correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've heard is that OU supervision is top notch, it's the kulos that people don't like.
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
Ensuring no goy touches anything from pressing till bottling is complicated.
What’s the deal with peach schnapps? Generally kosher, requires certification, always non kosher?
There is nothing inherently non kosher so no reason it should be always non kosher. In reality it depends on producer. Generally people won't drink without a hechsher unless there eia good knowledge that the producer doesn't process any grape distillates. I'm sure there are supervised and certified peach schnapps available. I'm referring to fruit distillates, schnapps can mean many things though.
Leroux and Dekuyper are two brands that are kosher. I'm sure there are more.
Why is it complicated to have 5-10 shomrei Shabbos doing it? Remember, many (maybe even most) OU certified wines are from Israel.
What benefit is there to being in israel? Unfortunately living in israel doesnt make one shomer shabbos. The owners / hired staff are in many cases not exactly what would be considered frum. This based on factories I have went to and the way they market themselves.Unless you mean to say it is easier to find mashgichim.
Oh, I see.Something I always wondered was how do the winemakers do their job if they cant open barrels and smell / sip. Maybe they have one barrel for him/her
The difference between what you call reality and what @aygart calls perception might be semantics.
Does anyone know of a site/company that I could sell bottles to? Located in the Bh/nyc area. TIA
