Amazon not so prime!!!

Any suggestions how to go about not receiving my item by the guaranteed delivery date? compensation?

I also just had a package that arrived a day late and I didn't request any compensation.  Isn't that amazing?  Why should you be compensated for every little thing?  Were you sitting at home and waiting for the package to arrive that your time should be compensated?

I disagree with you on this one. You pay a fee for prime. If they don't keep their end of the deal you should receive some kind of compensation.

But you're forgetting that the customer may have actually needed the object the day before and may have been greatly inconvenienced and may have even lost money due to the late delivery.

they did keep their end of the deal. They sent out your item with 2 day shipping. Why should they need to compensate you for a UPS delay? Should amazon compensate you for bad weather that caused delays?  I guess it would be different if you needed the item that day but that is rarely the case and not the point at hand. There is this general attitude on this forum that every little thing requires compensation and it is this attitude I disagree with.

thank you for taking the time to respond to me. I have my opinion and you have yours. No reason to be hostile. If you feel you are justified in taking $20 from amazon bc your package arrived a day late then by all means you should take it. I don't subscribe to this Shitah.

if amazon is willing to give the customer $20 they obviously feel that the customer should be reimbursed for the inconvenience.
so amazon feels that it should be keeping its end of the "contract" and the customer also feels that way. why does that bother u?
