Awesome DO guys! We even had a last minute OOT addition to our group :)
Really learned a lot of new stuff and tricks.
Major props to SF!
So upset that I couldn't make it out:-(. Hopefully there will be more and I can get to those. So tough to get away from work. My wife also wanted to go, but we can't leave the baby yet.

So the weather was quite uncooperative - not just record-breaking temperatures, but gloomy skies (and pouring rain for a couple of hours), so we had neither a sunset nor a sunrise :(. We did however have a ton of fun :D.

Crossing a (mostly) frozen river with freshly-harvested hiking sticks ;):

Taking the quickest way down to Blue Hen falls:

Frozen Blue Hen falls:

Trying to poke a larger hole in the ice to get to the water flowing behind it:

"Sunrise" shoot in the snow and freezing cold:

They're predicting a possible KP of 7, which means that the aurora may be visible from northern NYS.

Anyone up for a DO tomorrow night somewhere north of Albany?

Peak aurora activity is generally past 2am. So leave early evening, and head back maybe 4ish?

It's tough on a weekday, pity it isn't on motzei shabbos.:(

And remember - far too often aurora shoots are a bust. Not trying to be a party pooper, just making sure everyone understands...
