continental elite
« on: September 12, 2010, 05:33:29 PM »
I have 22,400 co miles (elite qualifying).
Anybody have any ideas how i could get them to give me silver without flying?
I flew 6,000 miles dec.28 '09 but they can't be used towards '10 elite miles.
I have bmi silver but its expiring soon and co won't comp. me bec. bmi is star alliance.
thanks for the help. ;)

It wont happen unless you BIS it (butt in seat) but it can even be UA flights that you credit to CO but it will be 2600 more in the air or no way Hosea (could be US flights as well just dont remember if CO will give you a min of 500 if the flight isnt , UA gives you actual miles flown when its a US flight).

seems like time to check out the mileage runs forum on FT

not according to this (seems they still give 500 min on US) http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US/marketing/custcomm/promotions/Pages/AirlinePartnerDetails.aspx?ItemId=308   checkout the next to last line on teh page right after the "*"  also 500 min for UA flights

They do if you are elite.

You can buy 1,000 RDMs and EQMs from CO for about $100 without flying.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

This is not necessarily true. CO will (and I have done this for a few people) upgrade you to the status if you are only a little bit away. I can't remember what the number was but something in my head tells me that the person I did it for was at 47,500 and they gave him gold. Call and ask. They may only do it at the end of the year though.

If you were within 5K last year they were willing to play ball after the end of the year.
