returns with a credit card that was closed

I want to return some stuff that was bought with a credit card that was closed
what happens? I don't want a store credit

You can still return to a closed card.
CC will send you a check.

i just had lands end ask me to which card i want my credit since they didnt have my card tht was charged on , i gave them a dif brand (from visa to amex) and they accepted it i am just waiting for the credit to post , i wonder if amex will deduct points since i never have charged a landend order via amex

You get points for your total charges minus credits so I don't think so.

thats an easy way to meet your spending threshold, buy tons on landsend and return it on a diff card (debit)

YMMV. but cant imagine if you shut the platinum and still have the gold card that they wouldnt post the credit on the gold card...its in essence one account.

Yep. I think it is only one account in regards to accumulating points if they are merged. CMIIW but I think some people have reported having different MR account numbers?
