Also depends on your needs. I'm pretty sure that the Town and Country only has 7 seats while the Odyssey has 8. For me that was important since my wife does carpool and sometimes needs the 8th seat.
Lx doesn't have an 8th seat afaik

Being a little more descriptive may help someone make a decision

The acceleration is a joke.  Also, my power sliding door has been malfunctioning almost from day one.

no power, bad handling, drives like a truck. Oh sure they have bells and whistles but are the bells and whistles  any good. Ime they were terrible... And the only way they market themselves is with bells and whistles because they have to cover for how bad the car is.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I don't need the 8th seat and I can live without the power doors. Odyssey it is.

How much does the 309 become after tax and fees?

it seems like this is a common marketing ploy which works! Just look at the cell phone market. :goes for cover from Samsung owners::P

I guess my question is why not buy?
And while you're at buy something decent with 8 seats and auto doors instead of the base.
Pickup a full 7 year warranty for $800 and you're good to go for a long time.

If only I had the negotiating skills that you pulled of with your Altima...

I guess the question would be how do I get the best price, and would I have to pay the whole thing down up front, or can I get the price even with financing?

Price is cheaper with financing.  Paying cash means you have to cough up more.

Just email every Honda dealer around you for an OTD quote for the exact trim level you want based on your address.
When you get the lowest the others if they can beat it, then repeat until they all blow you off.
After you agree on a price see how much they'll take via CC and finance the rest.
Don't buy the warranty or anything extra from the dealer.

Now is a great time as Honda has big kickbacks this month to sell more cars.

Is it better to go for the higher end or the base model?

Does it have to be a Honda exclusive dealer or any dealer?

Also, are there any hidden fees to look out for?

Better to go for whichever you like and will be happy with for the next decade.

The warranty price is the same for base all the way to touring elite.

Any dealer that sells Honda.

Be sure to ask for OTD including all taxes and fees.
They tried jacking up the price on my Ody but I had that quote in response to that phrasing and they honored it.

+1. They tried to add $350 to my sonata and honored when I pulled out the email

How come the Ody's doesn't fold into the floor? It must be they needed a place for the spare tire. Where is the T&C's spare?
The spare is in between the front 2 seats.

Get a van with power doors... You will regret it if you don't.
