R' Nissan Nemenov explained al pi Tanya perek hei (which happens to be the Chitas from yesterday) that Torah is like snow. How so? That Torah is like water we know from chazal (mah mayim yordim m'makom gevoah l'makom namuch...) but why snow?
Because snow starts up in the sky as water and ultimately ends again on the ground as water (when it eventually melts). It's only in between that it is snow for a while. So too, Torah starts as "water" Above in chochmaso shel HKB"H, then "freezes" to undergo a tzimtzum and take the "form" of a discussion of physical things so it can come down to this world, but then when it is received by the person, it turns to "water" again -- chachmaso shel HKB"H.
Meditate on that whole you use your new shovel.
