I wanna take a trip to isreal in first class on Lufthansa pesach time. the problem Is that lh doesn't allow united members to book 1rst class till 2 weeks before. and two weeks before, it will cost me nearly double the miles to take that trip thanks to the devaluation. so my question is can I book a flight in first now flying with united global first to fra and then change the carrier then, pesach time, to Lufthansa? will they look at that as a straight swap and not charge me the new more expensive rate or once I mess around will they require an additional 130k miles to change the airline to correspond w the new chart...anyone have any thoughts on this? thanks guys!
