El Al Up- has anyone flown it from Prague?
« on: December 10, 2013, 01:02:16 AM »
HI!  Just wondering I bought a mileage ticket from NY to Vienna in July stay for Shabbos and plan to take a train to Prague and stay there for a night.  I was trying to decide if I should use miles or pay for a ticket from Prague to TLV.  I saw El Al Up which is very cheap.  Is there any way to ship a luggage from Vienna or Prague to Israel to the airport for cheap or is the El Al Up flight not worth it.  It seems that a one way flight is $100 with taxes and includes a carry on but, if you want to take a luggage, they charge $400, is that true?  Is there any way around that?

What do you recommend?

The other flights from Prague to Israel are extremely long such as 12 hours long versus 3 hours and 50 minutes direct.

Thanks for all!

Was it worth it and what did you do about luggage, how much did you pay for a suitcase?

Thanks for all!

$400 is a ticket with full service, with the $100 ticket you can add a bag for $50.

What is full service"?
If I want one luggage then a bag would be $50 extra?  Sorry for bothering as I would like to book it now for July but, I dont want to pay $300 more.
