With chatgpt this thread should be obsolete. Ask your questions and it works wonders. Sometimes it needs minor tweaking, but that's just like trying any formula.

Its crazy I agree with you so much. It used to be hard to google this type of thing because you had to phrase it correctly and know the right words and stuff, but now you can literally copy paste 99% of the questions here to [insert your fav a.i. assistant here] and you can get an instant, well written, thorough response. There should be a wiki with a rule about this....

How do I make words in excel not display over to next cell to the right that is blank?
That was my question and it gave me bad answers. I don't want to decrease the font size or make 2 rows in the cell etc.

Try
=VALUE(RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(893,A1)+1))

That's if the numbers you want go from 893 to the end of the string. If not, and they're a fixed length, you can do:
=VALUE(MID(A1,FIND(893,A1),x))
where x is the number of characters in the value you want to pull out.

Not sure if I fully understand. Skyguy above definitely knows his way around Excel.

My lower tech approach would be to add a column and use the left function to get the first 3 characters. Then filter that column to only show 893

Agree . I've had it do things I didn't know were possible.

For example, I have all of my transactions automatically go into a Google docs spreadsheet where I categorize things and budget. During tax season, I was trying to figure out how to automatically pull all of my charity transactions into a separate sheet so that I could submit it for my taxes. chatGPT did it without any issues.

Another example, on purim, My daughter took on a shaloch manos delivery job where she had to deliver over 200 packages. One of the problems was that the address numbers and street names were in one cell, so 123 main Street and 125 heights Rd would show up back to back when trying to sort. Enter Chatgpt. Using the spreadsheet of addresses, which was organized by last name, I was able to sort by ZIP code, split the address numbers from the street name, and then sort by address within each zip code to help make the deliveries more efficient (as many of the streets crossed into multiple zip codes and we were trying to keep it within the neighborhood for efficiency purposes).

Load to power query, remove empty lines
Or select a cell, right click and select entire column, right click and select delete
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

The delete key clears contents. Right click and select delete
