One of the legs is only available in Y as a married segment, but is available in J when searching separately for this leg, would SQ be able to remove the Y leg and add it in J manually?

Is the other leg available in J on it's own?

Yes, which is why I'm asking.

Yes, which is why I'm asking.

So why not just call and ask them to search each leg separately and book as one award once they see the space? Not sure why you need to mess around with the married segment.

I already have it on hold, so was wondering if they'd remove the last leg and add it back as J.

Weird SQ tax debacle once again.

Forget the other discrepancies, since when does SQ charge YQ where AC doesn't itself charge YQ?

Extra credit:

Why does ITA show US as being $200.50 SGD and SQ charge only $24.50 SGD?
Relatedlly, ITA shows $16.50 of ZP and $6.20 of XF and SQ charges neither?

no it will not. It will go through on Amex's side but they will freeze your krisflyer account unless you are an AU on your wife's Amex account

unfortunately / or maybe fortunately, i decided to transfer the points before i saw your reply, as it was only 7K points, and i figured it wouldnt be a bog deal either way.

it looks like so far, my experience is different than yours. the points posted into my account, and i was able to use them to redeem for a SQ F award.

Hope i'm not jinxing it, and they dont cancel my award ticket.

Good to know. Where is this from? From there it looks like US tax should not be collected on SQ?

Anyone else lately being told that they reached the wrong department and that the award redemption team will call you back? Happened 3 times over the past week (and yes, I'm selecting the option for partner redemption awards).
