What's the cheapest way to add an infant on a suite ticket?

There's only one way to do it.

PUTPAC.

What do they charge? A percentage of revenue or of points?

Thanks!

Well that stinks..
More airlines charge a percentage of revenue, than those charging miles or set fee.

Right. I was hoping Singapore was one of the exceptions, I've been dreaming of a suites redemption for a while.

Am I correct in assuming it's 10% of the revenue ticket? Searching a random day shows ~$6800 for a suite, and ~$450 for economy. Probably can't book the baby by herself in economy, so seems like a better option to book my wife in economy and myself and the baby in suites.

Of course all of this is dreaming that I'll find two seats open the day I need.  ;D

The baby would need to be booked in Y.

It is 10% of ticket price. Some agents may price it different, so call a few times.

That's exactly what I heard, I read somewhere on the forum how to put to them to price it out cheaper.

That's what I heard, that's why I want to know how to ask for it.
I read here somewhere on the forum can't remener where.
I think it is just a YMMV. Ask them to price it out and see what they say. I do not believe there is a magic formula.

Between the YQ, and the infant, this becomes a very expensive redemption.

Thanks for all the answers!

Yeah, I know.

Still, my first premium cabin doesn't have to be a suite. I'd rather keep the money in my pocket and fly J on someone else.

Fly KE and use miles for infant.

There is a formula.

SQ agents seem to pricing it in regular GDS and calculate 10% of that fare.

But you'll notice it is always ~$2000 cheaper when you price it on SQ's website than any other OTA. See example below:

ITA Matrix:

SingaporeAir.com:

So when the agent quotes you 10% of regular price, just instruct him/her to look on the airlines website. You shouldn't have an issue getting that fare honored.
Saves you ~$200.

Wow awesome, thanks for that, that brings the price down to a stomachable level for me.
