Does SQ limit the amount of seats they'll release for Saver availability even close in? Just trying to figure out why some dates show "not available" as supposed to "waitlist" even though there's still standard and full available?

SQ opens up more availability closer to flight, but won't always clear a wait list even with empty seats.

DROPR, although I suppose it depends on the flight schedule on USA-USA. I had a ticket on hold with a 4.5 layover USA-USA.

Is there any way to know if I release a SQ R seat I have booked if it'll go back into inventory or if there's a waitlist for the flight?

I want to book LH F using SQ. Ideally I'd want to transfer in MR points (instead of UR), but am worried that it might be gone in the morning (the flight is in two weeks). Any advice?

Ask if they can put it on hold

I'll do that. First agent tried to convince me that since it's a LH flight, I need to call LH to book it with SQ miles  :o

ETA: I was calling the wrong number I guess. The first Krisflyer agent said that they can't hold it. HUCA? Is there a call center that would increase the likelihood? I tried the Singapore one.

Second rep said no too (and that he'd discussed with first rep). Guess I'm going to transfer and hope for the best :)

IIRW They only put on hold if there is a SQ flight involved, but not when it is partner/s only.

I see now that the transfer was cancelled. I asked Amex to process it again, and am on the phone with Singapore trying to find out why (waiting for twenty minutes already). Any ideas why that would happen (the name is same on both accounts).

Data point: I transferred Friday morning, and got an email this (Sunday) morning at 9AM Israel time that the transfer went through.

If I see F availability on a LH flight on United's website, but when I called Singapore they said there's no availability, is it phantom or should I HUCA?

Huca, I've seen that a couple times that sq said they don't see it but after a few calls I was finally able to book it.

Really? I thought that if you do it on the weekend it doesn't clear after the weekend.
Is it showing on ANA?
It was, yes.

Think I might just do that (tried on erev chag and waited 40 minutes before hanging up).

With regards to waitlisting suites, even though I need the correct amount of miles in the account to waitlist they're not "frozen" or anything once I waitlist, correct? In other words, I can waitlist a flight and then book an entirely different flight with those miles in the mean time (even if there's a different departure/arrival)?
Also, if I want to add a FRA-TLV to a suites flight if it clears, do I wait until the waitlist clears to do that?

Yes correct, nothing gets frozen when you waitlist. In other words you can waitlist on as many flights you want with the same miles.

Also, if I want to add a FRA-TLV to a suites flight if it clears, do I wait until the waitlist clears to do that?
Yes you wait until the waitlist clears, or you keep checking, because they sometimes open availability even before the clear the waitlist ???.

I transferred MR to SQ at 8pm last night, and the miles aren't in SQ yet.
Anyone else having delays recently with MR-SQ transfers?
