Does this mean that there might be a chance of there being JFK-DUS availability on the A350? Or will they only fly SIN-DUS?

Can't see the link, but there is almost zero chance there will be an SQ a350 flying DUS-JFK.

Whats the consensus on "waitlist"? Often clear? Do I only find out very close to departure? Anyway to waitlist without depositing points into SQ in case I don't get it?

They clear.

Not necessarily, but more likely.

No.

No.

Does that mean they should eventually show as "available" on the site? Or not necessarily bc others that waitlisted the seats will simply get the seats?

Some clear, some don't. Depends on a bunch of factors, most of which have nothing to do with you.

SQ charges YQ, UA doesnt.
