Right, that I know.
Can't assume. Need someone with experience in this specific scenario.

Not this from their website?

Online change of route, cabin class or award type for tickets issued for flights on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir - 12

Offline change of route, cabin class or award type for tickets issued for flights on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir - 20

Perfect. Thank you.

Your assumption (as well as mine) was correct. Was just looking for a reference point to avoid any possible issues.

Thanks for this awesome info!  Also, don't know if others will be able to get the same thing, but I found a whole route online and then had to call because I couldnt get it to book online (I had a stopover and was starting and ending in a different city) and they still only charged me the discounted points of an online booking.  Not sure why, maybe because it was all on Singapore, not any partners.

They should give you the discount as long as it's all SQ metal and can't be booked online for whatever reason.

Ok thanks, good to know.  So really it's almost like a 15% discount for only using their own airline instead of partners.  Another reason to call was I booked one leg of it in economy (from SIN-MLE) because they only had J for an inconvenient time.  Anyway, people shouldn't be afraid to call and get more convenient options and still get the discount.

I have to disagree.
JFK-FRA on SQ R and then FRA-TLV in Y will cost 57,375 + 17,500 = 74,875.
JFK-FRA on SQ R and FRA-TLV on LH J will be one award at the cost of 75,000.
So for an extra 125 miles you have a bit more leg room, empty seat next to you, off the plane first, lounge access in FRA (arriving SQ R, departing LH Y does not have lounge access), and your on one ticket in case of any irrops.
Would you be able to route via zrh for lie flat?
Also can this be waitlisted with SQ R?

Yes

You can waitlist the SQ leg, you can't waitlist partner flights.

So if fra-jfk was waitlist and tlv-zrh-fra was avail, I'd have to book it as two itin?

That's one option, or wait until the waitlist clears and then book it together, or book TLV-ZRH-FRA and if FRA-JFK clears, pay $20 and add it onto the itin.
