So it's a good idea to call regarding availability before midnight then transfer and wait few hours till 3am and call back to book it.
Sounds good to me. Or have someone do it for you I'd you're not going to be awake then.

How long does the transfer take SPG to Singapore miles? Last names match good enough or need same exact match?

Tue at around 3am (same if you transfer at 1030pm Monday (all EST).

FTFY.

Transferring at 12am Tuesday will already have missed the cut off time, and won't post until 2/3am Wednesday.

Can't hold until you have sufficient miles in the account.

If they'll let you hold, it makes no difference whether you have miles in your account or not.

When I asked, they wouldn't let me hold because I did not have sufficient mileage in the account.

I guess this is up to the rep then?

And I've held without any miles in my account, as always with SQ holds - YMMV.

I've transferred points in the past at 12:30 AM EST and they posted 2-3 hours later.

Mid November.

Better to do earlier if possible (just in case), but this worked for me.

Yes iirc

I can confirm later.

Eta: on my domestic VA booking, only taxes, but it appears there are no YQ on domestic bookings.

A few days ago I transferred points from 2 separate Thank you accounts to a third account. Then I transferred 35,000 points from Thank you to Krisflyer.

Today I sign in and I see the 35000 points transferred to krisflyer on the 17th and then 59,000 points transferred from Citi on the 18th.

I checked all the accounts and everything still has the correct balance.   I'm not celebrating just yet because I still can't figure out what went wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

What lounges do you have access to as an arriving SQ R passenger? I know you won't get the Private Room, but is the regular SQ lounge easily accessible for arriving passengers?

1. Can I waitlist for JFK-FRA-SIN in Suites today and then attach a SIN-MLE to the same award at a later date?  Would like to stop in SIN for a couple of days and understand that a stopover is $100...
2. Anyone familiar with using a "chaser" to get waitlist awards ticketed?

Not only do I feel like this discussion has been had already, I feel like it was you asking and me answering.

ETA: Yup:

I'll be arriving on SQ in R, so if I do wait at the airport, would I be able to use the Private Room, or is that only for departing flights?

You will not be able to use TPR.

You only have access to Private Room if (1) you're flying out of SIN on F, or (2) you arrived into SIN on SQ flight on F and have a connecting flight on SQ (whether it be F, J or possibly even Y).  If you're PPS Solitaire, you're entitled to use the Krisflyer First Class lounge on arrival, regardless of whether you're taking a SQ or non-SQ flight subsequently.

Otherwise, if you're PPS or have other Star Alliance status, you're entitled to use the Star Alliance lounge, but not the Krisflyer lounge itself.
