From which currency? Citi TY is instant.
Is this recent? As of three weeks ago it wasn't...

Anyone here experience UA taking back the seat after you placing an award booking on hold with SQ? SQ agent warned me that UA can take back the seat whenever they want until the ticket is issued, but looking for a data point as to whether or not that typically happens.

Hi everyone,

I'm trying too book JFK-FRA in suites for 2 months from now (+/- another europe leg on LH). Right now there is no availability but I can wait-list 3 seats (2 adults + 1 infant). Do you think it's worth transferring points in to wait-list and try to get these tickets or should I just look elsewhere?

Thanks!

Officially they're not supposed to do it so you have to find the right rep. Once I did, he put it on hold for me but advised that I have it issued as soon as possible because UA has the right to pull back the seat whenever they want. Luckily, that didn't happen to me and I had the ticket issued once my points transferred in. Had the seat on hold from about 7pm until 3:15am.

On Motsei Shabbos UA made available many seats to TLV in Aug for low mileage (37.5k Singapore miles or 40k UA/AirC). I keep checking and these seats are never available. They are 80k one way on United. Did not have enough Singapore miles, so they said they can keep tix on hold till Tues night. I transferred thank you points and transfer took 1 day. I had no problem ticketing the tickets even though UA pulled them from the low mileage availability.

Can anyone explain, or link to a page that explains how to get a waitlist ticketed by sending a Chaser or whatever it's called?

If I book JFK/PTY-PTY JFK- I can add a stop over let say to LAX for a few months later. THe JFK/PTY leg is J and LAX only has Y does that put me on a wait list or does the LAX stay in Y. And can you change the Lax date without charge later on?
