Email that just came from Krisflyer:

Please note that the Australia and USA & Canada KrisFlyer Membership Services hotlines have changed due to system requirements. The membership hotlines for the rest of the regions remain unchanged.

Here is a summary of the changes.
Region               Existing hotline             New hotline
Australia              +61 02 9350 0203+61 02 8228 1188
USA & Canada        +1 213 404 0301+1 312 843 5333
I got that too.

SQ doesn't offer arrivals lounges at SIN.

if you're PPS or have other Star Alliance status, you're entitled to use the Star Alliance lounge, but not the Krisflyer lounge itself.

Oh, I misread the OP. I thought he was saying one itinerary with one leg in R and the other in J. Thanks

I have to disagree.
JFK-FRA on SQ R and then FRA-TLV in Y will cost 57,375 + 17,500 = 74,875.
JFK-FRA on SQ R and FRA-TLV on LH J will be one award at the cost of 75,000.
So for an extra 125 miles you have a bit more leg room, empty seat next to you, off the plane first, lounge access in FRA (arriving SQ R, departing LH Y does not have lounge access), and your on one ticket in case of any irrops.

In my scenario, NYC to FRA in suits continue on to bud or prg in business, would it pay to use Singapore miles all the way ? Or just book NYC - FRA separately and book my next lag fra- prg or FRA - bud with other programs ? I have all points currency's

Please explain to me how the following works. UA shows saver availability for a LH flight. I called SQ to get that flight and they said they cannot book it as they are showing it as waitlisted. I obviously do not want to book on UA as when LH F becomes available I don't want to pay 110k. Do I need to HUCA until I get an agent who will book the LH flight or is it really unavailable through SQ but rather through UA?

Does this mean that there might be a chance of there being JFK-DUS availability on the A350? Or will they only fly SIN-DUS?
