Anyone else lately being told that they reached the wrong department and that the award redemption team will call you back? Happened 3 times over the past week (and yes, I'm selecting the option for partner redemption awards).
Yes, happened to me. The rep said after being on hold for a while you get auto routed to the commercial booking line.

On a related note, any chance that they will allow me to route TLV-LAX via Asia? Not finding any availability for my dates via Europe.

As long as you don't backtrack with connections, which they're very strict about.

Got it- looking at Star Alliance airlines that fly to TLV, I don't see any airlines that fly direct from TLV-Asia.
I would have to route TLV-Europe-Asia, which looks like backtracking no matter which airport I route through- even the easternmost airports like ATH and IST.

Am I missing something or does it seem to be impossible?

It's worth a call, especially for Turkish as maybe they'll allow it.  I'd love to hear what they say too.

From TLV to Asia you can connect via IST. For other cities in Europe you need to get the right rep.

For TLV-Asia connecting via IST is ok, but you think they will allow TLV-IST-BKK-LAX for example?

As it is there's no direct TLV-IST available for my dates- I've been checking daily for weeks (Interestingly, tons of IST-TLV)

When cancelling an award ticket, how soon do the miles return into your account?

I had to call SQ a few times to get them to do it.

If USA-FRA is 57.5k and so is USA-TLV. Can I go JFK-FRA in SQ F and then on to TLV for no additional miles?

I don't think sq flys fra - tlv.
I flew tlv-fra-jfk F on Lufthansa with sq miles , there was no f on the tlv - fra , but it cost me 75k sq miles

I'm trying to book an sq award booking with 2 legs. The first leg is wait list and the second is available to book and they won't let me put it on one booking. What is my best play?
