an example is the approximately 6% luxury tax for premium cabins leaving Venezuela which aa doesn't charge on mileage tickets because 6% of 0 is still 0 while ba does charge it for travel on aa
see page 1484
http://clacsec.lima.icao.int/2016-P/Estudios/IATA-tax.pdf

hence the question of the legality of the tax that Singapore assess on award flights

Are the Singapore suites flights booked today for travel after December 7 ,like in march time, would you be able to book with points using the old rates? Or only travel from before December 7 can be booked with the lower rates ?

Presumably you could book with current rates, IF you can find availability.

Can I book TLV-FRA on LH  Saver Award combined with SQ FRA-JFK only available at Standard redemption?
How many miles would it be? (SQ J is 80k Standard)

So me and DW and lap infant are planning on travelling EWR-TLV.  We have enough Singapore miles for  two one-way ticket EWR-TLV.  The other miles will be from United for the other way  Right now for Singapore miles I only see one way that will be useful since no expanded availability .  The other way will be with United miles.  What I am not sure about is how to handle lap infant. if I book two one ways with different mileage currencies I might pay hefty lap infant fees?  whats the best way to do this?

What class are you booking?

You can just have a travel agent book you a RT lap infant ticket and no have to book 2 one ways which would be more expensive

Yes, they'll link to your adult reservation.

Will probably charge a $25 issuing fee as they wont really have much commission

How would SQ handle changes to a pre-deval *A award booking, specifically changing carrier to another *A, post-deval? Would they reprice to the post-deval prices, or would they just charge you a small change fee in USD but keep the mileage to the pre-deval amount used at time of ticketing?

I'm trying to figure out if I should take advantage of Marriott to United 30% bonus. I have a stash of Singapore miles. Is there any disadvantage to Singapore over United?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

They charge YQ on most flights.
