need help with my non existent home address

just moved into a house that was just finished being built. i tried to order something from amazon but it says that it is not a valid address. how can i find out if it is being validated and when it can be used.

Your local post office probably.  I assume the builder has to file a new address with them.

am i screwed if i already forwarded my mail? it doesn't seem to exsist. i checked on www.smartystreets.com they had nothing.

Go to USPS.com and put in your address. See if it comes up with a zip+4.

Thanx for all the answers. I went to the post office they gave me a number to call th carrier supervisor. He says that he put it in the system Thursday and it should update in a couple of days. Thanx for all the help.
