is the chocolate tour good even if I won't eat it because of kashrus?
And how close to Chabad Antigua do I have to stay for it to be safe to walk home Friday night? I know they have a hostel but I want something a little nicer for DW.
I didn't do the chocolate tour as it has to be scheduled in advance, Chabad did offer a kosher version
I wanted to do it as part of a Friday exploring Antigua

Surrounding area is much nicer than chabad and worthwhile to walk and see the area. It's safe.  Search on airbnb(specify adult only as you will have more options come up)
+100
I was debating staying at Chabad & was very glad I didn't,
It's a hostel full of Israelis, feels like backpacker central (its still an amazing Chabad)
We stayed at the Camino Real hotel, its a lovely place 10 min walk from Chabad, there's a couple of other nice hotels in that area

Planning a week trip to Guatemala with a toddler
Which Chabad is best to spend Shabbos at?
antique San Pedro or Guatemala city? Are volcano hikes doable with a toddler?

Antigua with Reb Chaim is beautiful, Fri nite seuda there were several dozen young Israeli post army but that was pre-Oct 7 so dont know current levels
Its a serious 5 hr hike each way, you'd have to carry them You can jeep it, which is then only abt 45 min walk portion so you'd only need to carry that part

for shabbos go to Antigua Reb Chaim.

Volcano hikes are not doable with a toddler. I did pacaya on horseback with a toddle because I was told its ok.  It isn't

45 min is only from the jeep to the campsite and may be possible with toddler - however predawn summit hike is only for fit adults.
Its 2 hours with many parts sliding on loose rock IN THE DARK (flashlight they gave me didn't work) bring good hiking shoes and sticks!

High altitudes aren't safe for toddlers, regardless if you hike or jeep them.

Mon-Wed Antique
Wed-Sun San Pedro (is that too long?)
Sun- Mon Guetemala City (Intercontinental)

Way to long in San Pedro (I personally would stay in a different town around Lake Atitlan like Panajachel)

I'd recommend 2 days for Lake Atitlan area

switch around to stay Shabbos in Antigua, you'll love it

The lake is beautiful, you can easily spend 3 days there
Find a nice Airbnb in one of the villages also bear in mind travel to the Lake can be tiring, so maybe
late Mon -early Thur there, and then Antigua to mid Sunday avoid rush hr to Guat City
Zoo there is supposed to be really nice and you can book a tour to feed the animals look at their website
Hyatt Guat City is a beautiful hotel as well

When i was planning my trip I also considered San Pedro due to the convenience of food but I'm happy we didn't stay there, there's so much prettier villages & way nicer accommodations than you'll find in San Pedro,
I didn't really get the hock about the place

Take into consideration that Panajachel is almost an hour closer to Antigua

Can you easily get from panajachel to san pedro by boat?
How long does it take?
is it feasable to do it for dinner or something?

Sure.  Google the timing but there are constantly boats until pretty late
