Good that it worked out for you.
Let's get that check (am accepting more checks, too. No bills. Have a whole stack of that) first.  :)

If I file an amended tax return to claim  refundable dependant tax credits, will that offset any non refundable tax credits from that years return?
For example
I owed 3k in federal tax and claimed a 3k non refundable credit against it.
Then filed the following year for the refundable portion of the dependant tax credit (1400) will I lose that portion of the non refundable credit filed previously?

Random question.

I work in a job where I have a 401a plan.  I am switching to a job that has a 401K plan.

How much can I save in each? Are they additive?

Im no accountant, (An accountant can correct me if I'm wrong) but they dont need to do anything but they should and could. Question is if you have to pay taxes if the money you made was just a rebate on your spending.

I don't know but the 1099 is over $1k and after paying taxes, penalties and interest and my accountant it will be pretty expensive.

Is this the amended one? Isn't Chase payment the fee's on that?

The limit is $19,000 annually combined across all 401k plans.

The fee to pay an accountant to amend it....that's the cheapest part of this.

I'd appreciate an answer from an accountant.

If a older person living in Israel (Israeli citizen only) wishes to sell his house in Israel and wants to give the money to his kids (dual citizenship) living in the US. He wants to give it to them as an inheritance.
Is there any tax on it? anything that should be done done as far as both sides?

Thanks

Generally speaking, if they don't have a valid resale or tax exempt certificate on file for the state where the purchase is being made (delivered in the case of phone or Internet orders) they should and will collect sales tax.

So for example: if you have a NY resale certificate filed with Costco in NY, but then on occasion will walk into a Costco in a different state, you will pay sales tax in that other state.

Firstly, yes, I am aware that I'm quoting a post from 2016, but it's very relevant to my questions.

I want to buy a package of retail electronics from a website that requires a resale certificate, and resell them in NYS. At the moment, this is looking to be a one-time transaction, and not a continuing business.

Questions:
1) Is there any way to use another company's resale certificate for a fee? Ideally, I would like to skip this whole process, even if it means having to pay a cost.
2) Is it risky to file for a resale certificate under my personal capacity instead of a separate entity? I would prefer to do it personally as that would save me the time and money of having to create and maintain an entity.
3) The NYS website states that I would need to file a sales tax return every filing period even if I do not have any transactions that period. What does that mean for me if I file under my personal name for a one-time transaction? How often would I need to file?
3) If it is recommended to file under an entity, would it have to be a NY entity? I see that in MT, filing fees are much lower, and I wouldn't even need a resale certificate as they don't issue them (according to the website, a business registration would be sufficient).

Thanks!!

The investment income limit in order to receive the EITC is $3600 for 2019.

Does investments held in children's names count towards the $3600 investment income limit?

Any other creative (legal) workaround ideas welcome.

I think parents are only affected by their child’s income if they prepare 8814 ( parents election to teport child’s income on their tax return) but if You don’t elect this, then it won’t be included for EIC purposes.
